I understand the need to cut taxes for the people employed so they can keep more money, but what about the people who have been laid off or cannot work? You said that cutting taxes will save jobs, but I believe these businesses would use the saved money to keep their business running, not hire more people. If I am wrong, please clarify.

aflunky, cutting taxes means "pay roll taxes." Pay roll tax is the money the government is taking out of your paycheck every pay period such as FICA, etc.
If you have more money each pay period, you'll spend the money buying goods. Which employs the person who makes the goods to feed their familes.
