  • anyone determined enough to put on this kind of brave face, repress his broken and aching heart and refuse to pour out his complaint to God as the psalmist and other did in the OT is likely, and i say this with ALL seriousness, to ignore the Holy Spirit of truth who requires HONEST admission of your inner most heart, not your forced acts of will, and indeed blaspheme the spirit. Osteen's teaching here is deadly dangerous.

Without honesty of heart, & this is not, there is NO repentance. BEWARE!

  • when Osteen has a crisis that is deep enough that all his BS preaching no longer works he may be in a position to actually humble himself before God and learn something.

until then he simply preaches witchcraft, an attempt to control things by appeal to supernatural, real or imagined.

there is no grace here, for osteen demands us that WE do the renewing of our attitude FIRST before God acts.

this is damnation to those who are in real suffering, such that this boy has nevr known

  • "you will has nothing to do with how you feel"

this is the essence of legalism, it is what motivates slavery.

if we are accountable for our emotions and careless words then THEY are our true manifestation of will.

his preaching on free will is to set a mind against itself. to divde a kingdom which will them fall

    it nearly destroyed me.

    it is NEVER honest.

that kind of praise is PURE HYPOCRISY. do we take God for such a fool as falling for it? does He need to be flattered?

  • the will of the flesh does not avail anything. "it does not depend on him who wills or runs but on God who has the mercy"

my resolve was useless, a postive hindrance to God's grace.

    this preaching is pure heresy.

  • @k0smon No higher understanding here. Regardless of how brilliant or how great one's intellect may be, God's Word is not understood by human wisdom or reasoning. It is only through the Spirit of God that the Word of God is understood. Jesus said its the Spirit of truth that teaches us all things.

True worshipers , worship the Father in spirit & truth, they are the kind of worshipers the Father seeks. I tend to be more concerned with the content of the message than content of their homes.

  • @onstageagain Remember that "successful" christians have to give it all away and be as poor as JC.

    The bible says that.

Fortunately, I think it's a load of Iron Age babble!

Osteen and his ilk are smarmy conmen.

    Peace.

  • Hang on this is wrong, its sounds good but its religion at its best., Its all about what you can do and not what Jesus has done.

  • @k0smon And don't consult anyone's opinions but your own ... I will stick with mine...

  • @onstageagain :: He addresses his message to Christians. To preach judgment and condemnation to those already past that point in their experience would be a waste of time. His ministry is blessed of God.

  • @k0smon You won't hold me back, I've made a fortune here.My real fortune is heaven.

You send this passage John 10: 10 as it were a promise of earthly fortune, to back up J.O favor preaching, Totally taken out of context. Not speaking of earthly loss @ all.

A thief comes only to kill & destroy; I have come that you may have full life. Not earthly life He died so we can have a full life in heaven. Your comment , apostles being Ancient CHARACTORS, these are far from characters Sir
