They don't go up to the high note. Shameful.

The "Gloomy Sunday" version in "Schindler's List" was sung by Miklós Sebő.

i prefer that version to the slower original, this one is like a polka or a waltz

@LarkinsDeLaMere what a wonderful music and the bastards only recorded it in part.

Check this link out guys! Legend has it that this piece is so disturbing, that people have committed suicide in numbers after listening to this. therefore the forbidden nature of this track might be justified...

Yes, I read that somewhere too that they only recorded that little part for the film. Shame that they didn't do the whole piece, it is beautiful...

Apparently it is forbidden to keep this record in Hungary, and 90% of the records where destroyed so it has some controversy (maybe why it is so hard to find). I have also been searching for this specific recording with no luck. I think a comment below is correct in assuming that they only recorded the part that was used for the film. What a damn shame. Why did Spielberg and crew not see the value on this pice of music to share it?
Ok after doing some Hardcore Investigating Ive come to the Conclusion that there in fact is no full recording of this version only this clip that is offered.
Schindler's List (the Recording Sessions) CD 1 track 16 4m2 tk95 Gloomy Sunday (Sam Lewis and Rezso Seress, arr. John Neufeld) (0:28)
so im assuming that the bastards recorded only 28 secs of it.
