  • Very nice, compact and portable. Without ventilation a drive's life will be made short.

  • I know you posted half of a year ago, but the unit stays cool because it's limited. Most people know that SATA drives run hotter than IDE, especially under heavy use. Because the USB 2.0 interface doesn't offer as great of bandwidth, this transfers to lower actual usage of the drive. Also, the drive doesn't use as much power as it typically would because again, it's limited to USB 2.0.
