UNC's Mini-Medical School is a community-based lecture series designed to give lay audiences first-hand experience with the science underlying the practice of modern medicine. On March 17, 3 UNC School of Medicine faculty lecturers addressed the topic of personalized medicine. William Irvin Jr., M.D., presented "A Tale of Two Patients: The World of Pharmacogenomics and Tamoxifen in Breast Cancer."
