I remember being 12 or 13 years old and staying up late to watch Bundy's late night review! It's too bad that cable access has died off, although the production values were slim to none, some programming was excellent like Kevin Bundy's program. You rock RetroWinnipeg, you bring me right back to my early teens with your postings! Keep up the great work!!

@daamits I'd like to learn more about this, please post the link to the decision at the CRTC website.

The CRTC just approved the sale of this station to Bell Media, and now CHMI is the last former CHUM Limited property to be brought by that company. It will be incorporated into the CTV system effective September 1.

I have to admit, Kevin Bundy's Late Night Review was very original and it was very popular particularly in the Summer when he made the rounds to the various Manitoba events. I miss local access television and agree with Retro Winnipeg that I guess it seemed like a good time at the time to leave it and start MTN Kids Club. Whatever happened to Kevin Bundy?

The ironic thing about CHMI over the years has been how the station became progressively more "polished" looking over the years, and less worth tuning into at the same time. Prairie Pulse News, Bundy's Late Night Revue and The Western Hour might have all been low-budget, but at least they made the station unique. Today's Citytv, on the other hand, is half local station/half specialty channel without being much of either.

I Miss the oprah winfrey show.
Wasn't CBC also airing Disney's
Sunday night movie at that time

@rexxdexx Actually, there were two versions of the anthology series airing at this point:
CBC aired the network Disney Sunday Movie/The Magical World of Disney featuring new content.
MTN aired the syndicated The Wonderful World of Disney, which I believe consisted of content from the pre-1983 anthology series...
