C-Mon & Kypski tourdiary USA 2008 #4

Last week's been crazy. We've played a couple of good shows, there were even people who had seen us at another Lotus show. That's what hardcore fans do here a lot: follow the band from city to city to see a whole bunch of shows. So people got to know our songs a little better, and started dancing right away. And that's just how we like it.
This episode is some random stuff from last week: CKtv!
Driving to New York was exciting; all of a sudden it pops up! And there it is, in all its glory. My ants best friend sailed all the way to NYC with her husband, and they invited us to stay at the harbour. That was called Liberty Park, and it was right across the Hudson. So we had this beautiful view, from a really quiet place with geese flying around, and the tinkeling sound of ropes tapping the boatmasts.
The last show with Lotus was at The Fillmore, and was the most anticipated. It holds almost a 1000 people, and it's situated near Union Square, in the heart of Manhattan.
You can see us soundchecking, i filmed it on my N82. Although the venue was superclean, i still had to sneeze. And then the awful sound of....... BEEEEEEEEP!!!
Show was great, everybody including our agent Entourage, was happy. Kypski also featured on a track with the headliner, Kyp killed it!
At the last moment we decided to play another show at an afterparty that was organized by Entourage, in a small bar in East Village. Another good one. While waiting on a cab to get back to the harbour, i blessed Steve with a splash of fresh beer.
A couple of days earlier in Toronto, there was the "Gus, the other barber" incident. We hadn't have showers in days, our hair got all greasy. Dan and Jori needed a haircut, so it seemed like a perfect idea. Barbers wash hair before they cut it, don't they? Not this guy.
And he fucked Dan up too. He went to a decent 'hairstylist' to fix it the next day. That was funny.
We got invited by a friend of Steve's, Paul Waterman. We had already met him in Austin, and he appeared to be a filmproducer with homes in NY and LA. It was great chilling out there; watching films, communicate with homefronts and doing laundry.
