@havspeed hell yes

I can't believe anyone could keep up that hi-hat pattern for three and a half minutes. That's some RSI inducing stuff right there. Worth it though.
-
this is some retro futurism right here - 50's rock roots are clearly reflected in the guitar line and references to 'johnny b goode', while the song is accented with a synth line and myers' manic, robotic drumming

Best band to come out of America since Buddy Holly & The Crickets. Shame Devo did not stay in this dark more menacing. style. Incredible.
-
they are so ridiculously good musicians, lyricists, and have an epic music movement... this is an original/different piece because it is DEVO... NONE OF THEIR MUSIC SOUNDS LIKE THIS, but not TWO songs of their songs are alike... WE ARE DEVO!!!
-
The drumming in this would be so difficult to play, so many props!
-
@jwild611 cool. i need to watch that video
-
@FraterSoddi I actually thumbed you up. neways hes not lipsynching at all. The whole thing is live...the synth sounds completely different from the studio version
-
@Alphabex8 In "Devo: The complete truth about de-evolution" the commentary for the music video mentions it was about JFK. Now there is a line that says "Jonee be good" in this song which is a play on the Chuck Berry song but the song as a whole is about JFK.

@jwild611 i thought it was about johnny b. good.
