Liew Seng Tat has somehow convinced 250 people to get up early on Saturday, 26 June morning to move a traditional Malay kampung house in the middle of Kuala Lumpur. With their bare hands, yes.
We speak to Seng Tat about the inspiration and motives behind this quirky and highly unusual event, and what else to expect with 'Project Angkat Rumah' (parade, marching band, lion dance, karaoke, tikam-tikam, open mic, etc), which will take place as part of Urbanscapes 2010. He also reveals how you can participate in these activities!
Liew Seng Tat is a filmmaker, best known for the multi award-winning 'Flower In The Pocket' and 'Halal' short in the 15Malaysia project. He is also a co-founder of Da Huang Pictures.
Aired Thursday, 24 June 2010
