  • does anyone else miss the good old days when halo games took lots of skill, time and effort to getting consistently good at? when they werent designed to be so noob friendly to attract call of duty kids because cod makes the most money? remember when bungie wasnt a money hungry corrupt business, but a fan loving game developer? remember when the more skilled player always won, and not the kid who would do anything to win regardless of how gay it is? well i do, and i really miss those days...

  • @Suraya293 ya same here bro i loved halo 2....just so u know i dont consider myself the "kid" u described above....FYI i use to team with Snipedown if that means anything so our team was pretty decent in H2....look it upo on bungie if ur that desperate....gamertag use to be "KillinVictor" but i changed the account name but its still the same account...

  • @la4ever13 actually im still on H@ under this same gamertag just checked ..."Viiccttoorrious"....look at pages like on pages 72, 73...and others im just showing u for proof....anyways just in case u dont know his gamertag is now "Randy Dandy JP"...thanks

  • Wouldn't have won without that pussy ass rocket launcher.

  • @blue4219 true but then again its part of the game....and players devise strategies around weapon control ....your a scrub, but thanks for the comment ;)

  • @la4ever13 personally I think pweps should be taken out of all doubles/professional games and just straight up dmr/pistols and sprint. just me though

  • @thebourneman

i agree with you but then again some power weapons require skill to use for example not anyone can pick up a sniper and be godly with it.yes rocket launchers are easier but u have to have the strat and intelligence to avoid being killed when they arent in your control....its all how u play the game and how developed your strats are which in the end still proves whos a better team. yes i admit if i didnt have the RL we wudve lost.but my point is you have to be good in order to win

  • In a Mlg Setting, they would've lost. Doubles is all about camping, and timing power weapons. One of the more spineless playlist's ;D

  • @MrNubiusMaximus totally agree, except with the "doubles is all about camping" thing. when you play at higher skill levels youll notice the gameplay gets really fluent and for these guys youll notice they dont camp at all.. at least in this anyways. theres a lot of teamwork involved as well so dont discredit all those pros/amatuers in the doubles ladders! so true tho, these guys would have been obliterated in any mlg setting

  • @Suraya293 remember when halo fans were actually halo fans and not crybabies like you? i miss those days....

  • @Suraya293 Can you please explain to me how Bungie is "corrupt" ? They are a BUSINESS, a BUSINESS is suppose to design products for the MASSES, the MASSES are NOOBS. Business 101 bro, Plus Halo Reach does require skill, its just the bloom is so freakin annoying that it pissed a lot of ppl who took thousands of hours perfecting halo 3... If you want the ultimate skill game look no further than Halo 1, H2 and H3 had a lot of auto aim because they were designed for online gaming, again for MASSES

  • also get rid of the reach sniper and copy/paste halo 3 or 2 sniper (id rather it be h2 sniper but thats just me, i like h3 sniper too). i absolutely despise the reach sniper. its way to easy and noob friendly compared to its predecessors. also make the gameplay mechanics similar to halo 3 and 2. reach is like a cod/halo hybrid. it doesnt feel like halo at all to me. i could go on but these are the major issues i have. obviously this will never happen and halo 4 will probably be even worse...

  • @ThunderousTruth if it were up to me i would have bloom completely removed from the game. all armor abilities (yes including sprint and evade) need to go.. nades would be nerfed bigtime, along with rocket launcher and some other weapons. more symmetrical or halo style maps as opposed to the cod style maps you see in reach. no healthbars.

  • @Suraya293 There are people who still completely excel over others, due to their skill, and consistently pull 2+ k/d's: Which is a hint at skill. Regardless, it's open to interpretation I suppose - But just because you don't like the changes in Reach (and I myself am not a big fan of those changes) does not mean it is no longer a skill oriented game. It is still one of the most skill oriented games out there.

  • @Suraya293 I don't know. Halo Reach is more skill oriented than any Call of Duty, and is just as skill oriented as Halo 3 was. You need to know when to use your armor abilities and how to control bloom... Two factors you didn't have in Halo 3. The strength of grenades I admit is frustrating as a change and may of removed some skill, as well as the addition of health packs (which can save your ass) - But the former is relative to positioning and the latter is situational.

  • @ThunderousTruth and to be honest i probably respect cod 4 more than reach. cod 4 is the best, most consistent skill oriented game out of all the call of duties (except maybe 2 from what i hear, but i never played that one so idk). and i would probably argue that it takes more skill to getting to the point where you can consistently aim at the other guy before you drop to the ground and start shooting. i know it isnt much but its harder than it sounds. its not even comparable to h3 or 2 though.

  • @ThunderousTruth well obviously they need money. its a business. no one will give them free handouts. but when it gets to the point where they alter their game in a way that they know will piss off their core fan base just to attract new audiences for a slight increase in sales (and it worked sadly), thats when you know youre going too far. halo reach is a skill oriented game? maybe compared to call of duty, but is that really saying anything? reach is a sham. a disgrace. blasphemy, if you will.
