  • we need to do the dew

  • Wow

  • WOOOOOWEEEEEEE YESSS

  • @mutageno yea it is. the desire to seek keeps striking me in the back tho, its hard to extricate.

  • @killercreek450 oh ok ;0

but also can't be known because there's no one outside to know it right?

yeah i've been dropping the search lately...it simply seems a bit fruitless lol

  • @mutageno hey lol wrote that a while ago - im fine. i understand what he means by true self. basically what he is saying is that we cant know ourselves, because who we are is formless and is one with this moment. hes basically teaching people to drop all self-seeking, then suffering just leaves

  • @killercreek450 have u found anything yet dude ;0?

  • i was also blessed, or cursed, with an incredible intellect. I seek so hard sometimes that i cant focus on my school work, which is whats important. and im only 17

  • You are right Ananda. It's what Steiner calls an Ether level of being for plants and an Astral level of being for animals. That is why animals make great helpers for living in the Here and Now: they don't have a "self". You attach yourself to a pet and you have to think like/of that animal in order to take care of it. Which is basically living in the Here and Now.

  • When "the body doesn't need us" is said, the reference is to the conceptual self, which is constructed through experience and thoughts and reactions which arise in reaction to experience. The conceptual self is not needed to maintain the life of the body. A great example of this concept in action is any animal or plant in nature. They have no "self" and yet their physical vehicles are taken care of with precision. The "self" actually causes damage to the body through neurosis and addicition.
