Sgt. Corey Glass appeals to Prime Minister Harper for asylum

July 6, 2008 - Toronto

Sgt. Corey Glass - a veteran of the U.S.-led war on Iraq - came to Canada in 2006 due to his opposition to the war based on what he saw and experienced first hand.

Corey now lives in Toronto and is scheduled to be deported by the Harper government on July 10, 2008.

U.S. Iraq war resisters have the support of three out of five Canadians (64%) and won a vote in Parliament (137 votes to 110) to let them stay on June 3rd.

It's time for Prime Minister Stephen Harper to respect the will of Parliament and the people of Canada and let war resisters stay.

Citizens have the right to refuse to fight as war is NOT a solution to world peace.

Killing other people has never been the solution. More communication, not less will bring about positive changes. That is the role of the politicians and if they declare war, then it shows that they failed in their attempts to resolve the problem(s).

Canada the better place for human rights than USA now. It's fact. It's try also that Canada the better place for people to live, because of FREEDOM in Canada rather than in US. And i'm not Canada citisen if you think that i protect Canada. That boy should stay not because of him but because of Canadian people can see they are still have RIGHT GOVERNMENT.
