@darkelf456 The Forbes numbers are not at all accurate. I don't know their methodology but there is no way that it is legitimately the wealthiest community in the United States.
I guess you just hate right-wingers, but anyway the first modern tea party event was in Chicago, Illinois.

And how? By having them protest to lower taxes. By encouraging them to deny the government much of its only means (revenue) to regulate such corporations as Monsanto by such administrations as the FDA and the USDA.
Your taxes are much lower than those of many Europeans. Your corporations are also much more powerful and less regulated. Your education and healthcare are more expensive. We don't pull money out of thin air; your actions as a movement come at a grievous cost.

Southlake was reported by Forbes to have the highest median income in the United States in 2008. Competing claims exist in regard to which tea party was "the first," but the way I see it, the Boston Tea Party was the only legitimate one, and the only notable one to have been fought against the abuse of power. The Tea Party of modern times is the successful attempt by large corporations to convince the middle class to forfeit their own fiscal and personal interests.

Hell, Im just a nobody from Euless. I sure am glad I have customers in SouthLake. They actually pay their bills on time. I also get a tip from my regulars. Thank You for being wealthy SouthLake!!!

@darkelf456 Southlake does not have the highest median income in the nation. It is not even the most affluent community in the Dallas area. Sure it is wealthy and educated.
The Tea Party has nothing to do with racism. The first tea party took place in my oh so tolerant and liberal hometown, Chicago. The first call for a tea party was on the Chicago Mercantile Exchange.

Thanks for the comment. As a Keller resident, I've become very concerned about wealthy tightwads not wanting to contribute to the greater good. Southlake has the highest median income in the nation, so there is no excuse for avarice. I am tired of wealthy Southlake residents thinking their needs reflect those of the "common man," especially when their tax rate now is at its lowest in forty years.
The Tea Party movement is a smokescreen for racism, and it's time for it to end.

This is why I have to explain being from Dallas that not all of our redneck, money obsessed suburbs speak for the City of Dallas or the State of Texas. These people aren't the ones being taxed. Bush and Republican Tax Cuts only help the wealthiest 2% and not all the hillbillies at the tea party rallies. Last time I checked each time we had a Republican in office in the last 30 years (Reagan, Bush, Bush) we were hit with a recession and the only time the economy grew was under Clinton.
@JohnRhysMusician Why do you doubt it is the wealthiest community? I lived there and I've been everywhere. It's all mansions.
