AWESOME!!! I'm from this region, Trás-os-Montes e Alto Douro province. Once I lived near Régua for 4 years, I made dozens of trips in this line, since 1994 till even now. It was beautifull to see and hear it again, thanks!
In fact nowadays it's a railcar that explores the line. And the Portuguese Government intends to close the line, to build a massive dam.

I've travelled with the train the 22/07/08, nowadays they use a much smaller train (with diesel motor). A very nice itinerary! It's a pity that the line will be cancelled a few months later! And someone very nice and beautiful told me how to pronounce "Cachão". :-)
