3D Projection Mapping promoting The Tourist in Dallas

This building projection was to promote the new movie "The Tourist" starring Angelina Jolie and Johnny Depp. The Joule Hotel in downtown Dallas hosted a party with this 3D architectural mapping projection art show, it was projected on the Praetorian Building at 1607 Main Street. The size of the projection was 80' x 80'.

This is not fake. All ya need is about $400k in 30k lumen Barco projectors, a 3-4 man team minimum that have all the talents to do 2D & 3D graphics using programs like Maya & 3DS Max, audio/video mixing & editing skills, lots of time, & lots of coffee, oh and pop tarts. Oh yeah and you still need someone for your photography prep work, sound stage setup, rigging up the scaffolds for the projectors (or an adjacent building is nice), cabling, aligning, etc. etc. Probably still missing something.

I think Amoeba23 is likely right. Don't care what the guy's website shows you, that can be faked too. Truth is I tried searching for references to this in both the Dallas Morning News & The Ft Worth Star-Telegram. Nothing. Not under "The Tourist" movie promo, 2 unrelated articles under "The Tourist" promo. Lot of articles on the Praetorian Building but not about this. Nothing on any of the TV news' websites, nor the Joule's website. If this was a real event, it should've been all over the news.

You don't even need skills, just creativity. Most people who do this professionally use Quartz Composer on mac. They don't pre-render it's all generated on the fly.
