Scottish Power Pipe Band playing in the Grade One Competition at the Scottish Pipe Band Championships held in Levengrove Park, Dumbarton on 22 May 2010.

The band's Pipe Major is Christopher Armstrong and the tunes played are Castle Dangerous, The North Star, The Millstead, Salute to Jack Henderson, Struan Robertson, The Hag at the Churn, Hanter Dro, and Golden Brown.

Scottish Power Pipe Band was placed 5th overall in the Grade One competition, but both piping judges ranked the piping in second place.

  • Very nice. On the day it was a very enjoyable performance. Tonally there are still some issues to resolved and ensemble/drumming isn't quite as strong as the piping yet. Nonetheless the step up year on year has been impressive since Chris took over. Lots of people thought he was too young and it would be a mistake. Well he's proving them all wrong bit by bit and year by year.
