thanks gojoe263 yes 600 is six and 800 is v8 , 352 fe or 390 fe v8 my coupe is suppose to be a fe 352 but saying that not quiet sure that its not a 390 :O) goes very well will rev out to 70 miles an hour in first gear & yes these sports coupes are very rare i havent found any others , registered in usa or australia , most of the parts for these mercury's are ford so parts are easy to get for a 1961 coupe .....thanks for your moment from trev in aussie :O)

nice car, but why does the air cleaner say 351?..it should be a 352...and the valve cover's are from a 67 or newer f e motor...but man...what i nice clean ride you got

@390merc65 hi there mate from trev in aussie , the aircleaner and valve cover were on it when purchased i can't find any in australia , i have the only 800 coupe in australia and the only 61 mercury that i know off ....so parts are just not easy to get for me :O) can you help ?

Very awesome original MERC! I have 4 door 800, but have modified it, as some do not like, but everyone is different. It's the blue one on here.

very nice Merc. I've never seen a Meteor 600 or 800 and I live in the States. The Monterey was more popular since people who bought a Mercury wanted an upscale model. but this one certainly has class! I assume the 600 was a 6 cylinder and the 800 was a V8? It looks very much like the Ford Galaxie too...

Cool car! You're right, it does share a similar look to the galaxie. I like the taillights and trim.
