For anyone, (I did, and no regrets) thinking of buying this great scanner/receiver;

Cons: a PAIN to program, (no keypad), Slow scanning speed, Can only scan 1 bank at a time, Curious memory programming, (program to main memory, then to the bank - why?) HF is limited, can be heard off internal ferrite antenna, but best to consider this as a scanner only, (30Mhz upwards). No SSB, (not a con as such, as R5 is at the cheaper end of the market, just something to consider).

Pros: Small & lightweight  Full coverage, with 6.25 & 8.33khz steps Replaced by R6, so good used prices to be had. Powered by just 2xAA (duracell rechargeable recommended) Lovely audio It's an Icom! and MADE IN JAPAN, so should last well.

Olá, queria saber se com um radio transmissor (walkie-talkie) mult-band, se eu conseguir me conectar exemplo em uma radio FM, eu consigo transmitir minha voz... tipo aqui perto tem uma empresa de radia, FM 87.9Mhz, se eu pegar o walkie e me conectar consigo faze-lo de 2 microfone do locutor! fazendo que as pessoas me escutem? obrigado
