If you would not consider intelligent design a responsible science(as I don't), how can you consider an a priori belief in God a responsible metaphysics (as I do)? I have never been able to answer the question of why I believe in God with the same degree of robust analytical persuasiveness as I've been able to answer why I reject Intelligent Design(as a science).

I believe in God because reductionism (bottom up causality) fails to account for the world as we know it. If our personhood is an emergent property of our complex neurobiology, and the cosmos can't be less complex than a single human brain, then I see no reason to deny that a level of reality exists that is beyond the physical cosmos, and has the ability to exercise some measure of top-down causality.

heh I personally think aliens possibly exist out there, but I have doubts they ever arrived here, heh but too big a universe for there not to be life out there somewhere.

Nice video. I do believe that not lying is important and the easiest person to whom to lie is yourself. It's good to see that you are keeping yourself on the right path before going after others.
