Audi A6 3.0 TDi vs BMW 530d

Audi A6 3.0 TDi quattro automatic - 233ps, 450nm torque, 225/55/16 winter tires.
BMW 530d automatic - 218ps, 500nm torque, 225/50/17 winter tires.

Both have turbocharged 3-litre diesel engines. Filmed in wet conditions.
Audi had the advantage of quattro.

BMW could run 7s to 100, but only on a sticky track and with wide summer tires.

Audi 2007, Bmw 2005. Driven by me, used powerbreaking.

I had both cars and the Audi is much slower with quattro.

@rswtal I must admit Audi is indeed slower, especially 100+ km/h... Audi is NOT an ultimate driving machine, but it is a better overall car. We had both cars for 3 years and Audi has shown exceptional reliability, when BMW is in need of repairs every other week. One must make his own conclusions...

Yes and over 200kmh the Audi gets slower and slower.

My Audi was also every Week broken. All 6 Injectors were replaced two times and one turbo.

And the Aut.gearbox was broken at 80.000km. Audi is VW crap.

I drove the BMWs to 150.000km and had no problems. Only Service.

@rswtal And I had replaced on the bmw: 3x starter, intake manifold, exhaust manifold, front shocks, rear parking sensors + much more small repairs and numerous visits to diagnostics... While the Audi had only its oil changed...

just service a bimmer regularly and ready to go,a glorified VW would give u that image u crave ride on guys see u at the stops,we all know a bimmer is faster as soon as the AWD lauch start working against it at topspeed.

bmw era ended couple years ago and now is Audi era just live with it audi haters, look how bmw is desperate to lose this fight, they even start produce front wheel drive cars and AWD cars, i remember how bmw boss long ago said that bmw never ever is going to do FWD so ups I say, interesting if quattro is so shit than way bmw is so much more starting to produce xdrives???? yee probobly becouse its that shit or why????

@XFactorBest the e39 530d has either 184 or 193hp but the e60 has 218, 231 or 235 hp thats why

@v8kozik I had an uncle who bought an a4 and sold his mercedes he said its the dumbest and worst thing he has done. So he sold the a4 a few weeks back and bought a new merc. I also had a friend who tried an a6 for 3 months, he had to change his Turbo, and in addition to that put out 5000 euro. Thats fucking crazy. Audi is VW/skoda in a nice looking package, but even if you pack a piece of shit with something good looking, it will still smell like shit.

This is just unfair, you should compare the 2007 Audi A6 3.0 (233ps) to a 2007 BMW 530d (235ps). No point in compare old engines with newer ones and of a different manufacturer
