Still In Love With You: A Jemi Shot (1/5) [Happy 19th Birthday Demi Lovato!]

HEY-O. It's August 20 and we all know what that means? IT'S DEMI'S BIRTHDAY!!! -cue the party poppers-

And I apologize for not posting one-shots for the whole week in dedication of Jemi week. No inspiration for Jemi fluff would come to my mind. Na-dah.

So, to show how deeply sorry I am, here is a five-shot full Jeminess at Demi's birthday. I promise you that you'll love it (I think), especially part 4 and 5. ;)

DEMI'S POV

I sat on the corner of the room, looking around the crowd. It's my birthday and I should be happy but I'm not. I regret not giving Joe the chance to talk. If he were telling the truth then I'd be happy with that because I believed him. Well, my heart does. My brain is being in denial and keeps telling me that he's bad news and he'll hurt me again.

I felt someone sit next to me, it was Selena, "Hey Dems, why so glum?" she asked, pouting, making me giggle.

I shook my head, "It's nothing."

Selena giggled and shook her head, "Oh Demi. We've been best friends for a long time and I know that when you say that, it means you aren't alright. So, tell me. Who or what is the reason you're so glum on your special day? You should be out there, partying with us. It's not Taylor's or Miley's birthday but they're looking like they're having more fun than the birthday girl herself." She told me as she gestured to Miley and Taylor who were dancing to the beat of the song in their crazy dance moves.

I giggled, "Miley was always the party girl. I don't know about Taylor though." I said as we watched Taylor grab someone's hand and had them dance to the beat of the song with her and Miley.

"Whoa, whoa, is Taylor dancing with Taylor?" I turned to Selena, staring at her in confusion. Selena turned me and grinned, "Lautner." I nodded, getting what she was saying now.

"I guess so. I did invite him. Plus, they did reconcile back at the TCAs last week, right?" I asked, looking at Selena so she'd get the reason why I invited Lautner. Not my fault if they're still not friends because I did see pictures of them together and I did see them talking to each other at the TCAs.

She nodded, "Yup." She smiled and looked at them, "They were always cute together."

I smirked, "You're not jealous?"

She turned to me and giggled, "Nope. I told you, Taylor and I are just friends. The reason why I was seen with him often was because I giving him advice on how to be with Swift."

I nodded, giggling, "I know. You already told me that." She smirked and turned to watching the Taylors dance on the dance floor. I did the same.

"Holy cheese, he came." Selena muttered but I could still hear her.

I turned to her, "Pardon?" I asked just to make sure I was clear on what I heard.

She shook her head, "N-nothing." She said and even though she was facing me, I could see her eyes looking at her right. Her eyes widened, "Um... I'm just going to get a glass of punch. I'll be right back." She said, looking at me and smiling nervously. I raised my eyebrow at her as she turned around and speed walked to the table filled with different kinds of beverages and food.

"Weird." I mumbled to myself.

"Happy Birthday, Demi." I heard someone say. I knew that voice—that deep and sexy voice.

I turned around and I gulped, seeing the guy I just snapped at a week ago—on his birthday, "J-Joe."

He bit his lip and passed me a box, wrapped in black wrapping paper and a red ribbon on top, "Here, I brought you a present for your special day." He emphasized on 'special day'. As if he wants me to remember what happened a week ago on his birthday.

I ignored it. I'm not going to do anything bad to him—especially on my birthday. I smiled and took the present. He overlapped my hand with his, "Thanks, for the present and for coming."

He smiled. It was a smug one. It was the smile he always used when he was in an awkward situation or where he's just uncomfortable. Like the time he and Taylor bumped in to each other in an event. I saw the pictures online and saw his cute and funny smug smile.
