  • Not too impressive!

  • Those wings came out in 1998 or late 1997....when they were cool.

  • rice wing anyone?

  • @digitydog0021 ahah BEAST

  • @Tboninator true.. true..

You didn't disprove my theory. If you've taken any middle-school level engineering classes, you would understand the importance of design. For example, ever made a bridge out of popsicle sticks? I remember a fellow student's bridge supporting 210 pounds... A foot long bridge, with 210 pounds being suspended from the middle, made out entirely of popsicle sticks and glue.

I'm sure I could design a functional spoiler out of pencils and cardboard. It's all in the design.

  • @Tboninator i know it puts more weight on the car i just meant that it was already so heavy that some cardboard wouldn't make much difference. For instance if cars weighed 2 pounds then the cardboard would have a significant effect, but cars weigh much more than that. Also i didn't mean to disprove your theory. Just a lighthearted joke

Also, a spoiler isn't supporting the weight of the car, it's pushing it down into the ground (think of it as making the car heavier)...

Like I said (if you read my post), if it provides downforce and HOLDS UP, then it's functional. Pencils and cardboard, if designed properly, could hold up as a spoiler. It would be hack, and wouldn't last as long as if it were made from other materials, but it would still be functional.

  • @Tboninator except that if it produced an amount of downforce high enough to even have the slightest effect on the car it would break. Cars are heavy, and cardboard is weak
