Shocking ref, he let one fighter get absolutely pasted for a round, and then when this guy gets hurt once he blows up. Not good.

Premature stoppage. Brewer NEVER hit the canvas. He took some hellacious shots at the end, but he was still on his feet. Yeah, I prefer to err on the side of caution, but the ref brought this one to an end a few seconds too soon. Why not another standing 8 count? Likewise, Echols hit the canvas three times and was able to weather the storm. However, even with no 3-knockdown rule, I wouldn't have blamed the ref for stopping it after the third knockdown.
