not to be misunderstood, I revere whitney too. my point was that Barbra was the most professional PERFORMER. not the singing, the presentation. the acting. the nuances. (but she's actually 22 and an accomplished actress by this point)

Houston was already in the business by the age of 14, by her first solo album, she had been in the music business for 7 years close to a decade. she started doing vocal and background sessions for people like Chaka Kahn, Lou rawls, Jermaine Jackson. They would wait for her to get off the school bus, thats how young she was. out of all these really talented women she is the only True "prodigy" or 'genius'
