  • @xKINGkhanSRKx by definition an abscess is almost always an infection. Do you see anything on the "outside" of your skin in the left jaw area - such as a zit, pimple or boil? What did the walk in Dr. or nurse tell you to do? It could be a skin issue only if you can see it, otherwise it may be a tooth abscess or indeed an abbess in the jaw caused by a number of things. Whatever type it is, the answer is yes. Yes you do need to see either a dentist or an MD. If the abscess IS visible consult a Dr

  • Dear Dr. Interesting Vid. thanks. In relation to the dangers of spreading infection in you video, I have one question if I may - after an extraction when it's necessary to place a drain or two due to perhaps a large abscess around the affected area, or gum - when should the drains be remove? Roughly how long should the drains stay in? How do we know if/when we can safely remove the drains or decide to replace it with a new drain? Thank you

  • PLEASE HELP

i went to the walk in and i was told i have an abscecce. its on my left jaw. Does that mean it IS an infection in my tooth? or can it be JUST the skin on the jaw?

i need to know if i should go to the dentist or not...thanks

  • my mom has had one for atleast 6-9 months now =[ is it still treatable

  • i think this is the WORST CASE SCERNARIO

  • @HereComesLlama Hopefully you have been to the dentist, since you posted a month ago...but antibiotics, preferably penicillin and an ice pack on the cheek for 10 minutes on/10 off will hopefully keep it at bay until you can get to a dentist. I have one, and of course it started hurting on Fri night, and I'm counting down the hours til my dentist's office opens on Mon. morning. Ouch :~( It sucks so very, very bad...
