Rep. Herger (R-CA) asks CBO Director Elmendorf about Medicare and revenue off-sets

CBO Director Elmendorf " Congressman I can't speculate about the parts of the bill we have't scored.......at the end of the 10 year window the cost of the coverage expansion is increasing about 8/9 % a year....the revenue raisers are increasing about 5% a year , and that leaves a substantial hole that would need to be filled by the other provisions if the overall legislation were to be deficit neutral at the end of the 10 year window and into the following decade...

But we have not done the analysis yet.."
