@251089soren If there are cases where it is legitimate for christians to overthrow evil regimes by force then why didn't Paul encourage the church to do so against the Roman Empire but istead to pay taxes etc.?
Nice blog. Here is a question that I have been bogling on for some time which I hope could be answered in some program: How should we understand the duty of Christians to be obedient to the authorities in light of romans 13 and especially verses 1 and 2? When is it permitted, if it is, for a Christian to rebel against the authorities(armed or unarmed) apart from the exeption mentioned in acs 5:29 when the authorities force Christians to do something which is contrary to the Bible's commands?
By the way, I made a video several months ago which sort of touches on the question of how rationalism and faith may have evolved. I'll post it as a video response.
It also begs to be noted that "If evolution is true" and "If God does not exist" are two separate IFs and are not interdependant.
To the question today, I personally don't see the conflict. Life is an emergent property of chemistry (according to abiogenesis) the brain and intelligence are emergent properties of life (according to evolution theory,) Individuality (or mind if you will) emerged from (or with) intelligence, then philosophy and then the concept of truth emerged. No deity necessary
I appreciate the dialogue, but do want to point out that my answer was in two parts. The fallacy part was the first part of my reply and was an aside only. The second part was the direct response to your question AND to your previous argument accounting for atheists in a Godly universe. When you ask how an atheist can explain believers you have to also account for how can a Christian account not only for atheists, but for Buddhists, Muslims, Hindus, Jews, Mormons, Shintos, Voudons, neo-pagans...
evolution is not an end ... you clearly are ignorant of science

The burden of proof is on the believers ...

did you say evolution "end with this"? Evolution has not ended. Also, there are studies regarding why many humans believe in a god/diety.
