A montage of what I have been eating lately, including homecooked and processed foods. I know a lot of it is not exactly health food but that is what I was eating at the time, and I think its good to show non-vegans that some of us have many of the same vices that they have.

And yes, I know no-ones food is exciting enough to warrant this song but I wanted to hear it and it was the right length :-)

  • i can't push myself to eat vegan sausage, mock duck and other stuff like that...i have a fear that it might have meat in it or that it is made of meat :(

  • I had that once with some mock chicken, it tasted too real and it freaked me out LOL

  • Looks all yummy! And your supermarket seems very vegan friendly, not like mine here. Also reminds me that I wanted to make a similar video, even though I think my eating lacks variety.

  • That doesn't matter, make the video!!! I just want people to show what they eat so people know what vegans really eat, which is all kinds of things, not just salad and soymilk LOL

  • where I live its hard to find vegan stuff.. there is a store that sells healthy foods but it is SOOOooo expensive to buy from there and their options are very small.. I can buy regular foods for almost half the money I buy from the healthy section.. our farmers markets are only in the summer.. It is difficult to eat completely vegan on a low income budget...

  • I think your selections prove that just because you are not eating meat doesn't mean you are eating healthy. I really question the amount of processed food you are consuming. Alot of processed fat, white bread and soy. For me a good example of a vegan diet is avoiding the western diet and embracing a total plant based lifestyle, not trying to find "meat substitutes". Instead of a vegan diet it feels like a "mock" diet.

We should embrace, clean, non processed, light filled plant foods. Yum!

  • @bigtw09 I do very little soy, but I am skeptical of all those studies anyway. There are tons of soy-free products, not the least of which is fresh, whole fruits and veggies YUM!

I do find it odd among meat eaters who decry the health risks of soy when their own risk of a pre-mature heart attack or stroke is 1 in 2, that is 50/50 :(

Moreover, 98% of the soy in the US, the world's leading producer of soy, is fed to livestock; so meat eater are getting far more of the effects of soy than vegans.

  • Great stuff! I have been doing lots of raw. Last night I had raw vegan walnut tacos with cabbage leaves. I almost passed out it was so good. I soaked the walnuts for 2 hours, then grated some carrot and put in the food processor with a little taco seasoning. Then used chopped raw olives, shredded collard greens, and fresh raw salsa for the fixin's DAYM was it divine! I was skeptical of the cabbage leaves as tortillas, man was I surprised, they were PERFECT, better than tortillas for real!

  • It all looks to die for...

  • i'm vegetarian but I'm not allowed to go vegan, I want to though :O

  • I'M A VEGETATRIAN RIGHT NOW BUT I WILL SLOWLY TRACK MY WAY TOWARDS BEING A VEGAN. :-D

  • What about the Soy products?? I have seen so many articles on research of soy that makes me not want to put that in my body!! Soy milk as well is very unhealthy for you! 90% of all soy products are GMOs! Just thinking, what could you do to replace it??

  • Vegan food: all food, thats not meat, dairy or eggs. Thousands of options available, and you learn to cook, which is fun, and no risk of food borne illness and contamination with raw meat or eggs. Vegan food is delicious!!

  • @VerucaBucket Um.......I'm not the one you were talking to, sorry :D but I can let you know about milk since you had the question. Milk is basically the breast milk of another mammal, meant for it's baby, which is taken away from her at birth, so humans can drink it, past weaning age. Humans are the only animals on earth that drink breast milk as adults, which can be dangerous since we do not produce the lactase enzyme anymore, and too much milk can case lactose intolerance. Milk sucks lol :)
