Every year Mihai Popa from Romania spends 10 days decorating his Christmas Tree with some of the most unusual ornaments: Santa going down a slide or flying in a baloon or making his deliveries, UFOs, moving lights, a skating rink, or a waterfall with real water.

He's been doing this since 1981, when his tree only had a few lights, and was able to rotate. Every year he has added something new. The tree is a real one, and is kept in a bowl of water fixed to the base. The base is retained from year to year, and hosts the hearts of the many mechanisms populating the tree.
