From the 2000 album Collectors Sedition and re-released on the 2007 album Collectors Sedition Directors Cut.

In 2000 Livgren was going through a particularly prolific songwriting period and he realized that most of these songs were Kansas like!He contacted Phil Ehart and suggested doing a new Kansas album and gave Ehart and Kansas the pick of the bunch. This became "Somewhere To Elsewhere".

There were still many great songs left of the compilation of demos for those sessions so Kerry put together "Collectors Sedition".

Later he regretted releasing those songs in demo form so he went back and gave them the royal treatment which became "Collectors Sedition Directors Cut! I think his guitar work is reminiscent of Robin Trower!

Kerry Livgren - Guitars, Keys
Darren Rogers - Lead Vocals
Craig Kew - Bass
Mike Patrum - Drums

  • Again, Kerry takes off, showing off his sublime skills on the guitar. I think the drums and guitar go very well together here!

  • Nice!

  • way to work it kerry & darren

  • Amen! "Mask" is my favorite Livgren solo work but he has many excellent tunes!

  • Absolutely! You can really hear his influences in his solo work. All musicians "borrow" from the greats who came before. You can also hear some Robin Trower in this and a couple of others. You also get a much better appreciation for his guitar and keyboard playing skills with his solo work.
