This is a continuation of the first video that gave a broad overview of my 77 lb. weight loss. This goes over the first year of changes I made and the results (about 20-30 lbs). It was all very slow, but it was a good investment. My body is now responding exactly how I want it to. I will post another video going over the more accelerated last 5 months of weight loss for those of you who are interested. Whatever you do, just dont forget to be good to yourself!

  • i just found out todat that i have pcos,i was having problems losing weight,So,my dr gave me metformin,i hope i can drop some weight and start feeling normal again. If anyone has any weightloss advice please feel free to reply, Thanks

  • Not sure what all your acronyms stand for dx, ttc, etc... I did research this finally. Apparently my data was old. The same Dr. that told me this just informed me there are some birth control pills that can actually help the symptoms and she has prescribed some for me. I think its good that people look up the brand of BC they are given to make sure its compatible with PCOS. My doc told me that the ones I was on as a teen actually made my PCOS worse.

  • BC HELPS PCOS!!!!!!!!!! When I was dx i was rx bcp!! They also help prevent ovarian cancer and endometriosis and regulate menstrual cycles. I think you should probably do some research. The only time I do not take bcp is when we are ttc.

  • Haha! Its either a microchip or a fake boob flowing thru my veins. That had me cracking up! Great job with the weight loss, I added you as a friend on spark!

  • I got on BC when I was around 14 and stayed on it till I was about 24, after I found out I had PCOS. I had regular ones from age 11-14 if that helps! haha I guess that doesnt really count. After age 24, I had them sometimes once a year, once in 2 years, twice per year, and Ive been to the ER from hemmoraghing before too. I really wait till I can wait no longer before going to the ER though, because all they do is shoot me up with some kinda vitamins and elavate my rear above my heart.

  • What the.. I don't see how that would be possible. I work with an amazing doctor and have researched a ton too, but have never come across anything quite like that. Do you have regular periods, if you don't mind me asking?

  • Hey cool, thanks for the tip. Ive been meaning to get on some omega 3's. Ill look for that. As for Yaz, I can't take birth control pills. They're supposed to aggrivate the PCOS symptoms and help the disease to progress somehow. Im not sure why/how but thats what Ive read.

  • I am on YAZ for mine (and a million other amazing supplements) If you aren't taking fish oils, I recommend Norwegian salmon oil, it helps my skin out so much!
