North Country State Sen. Darrel Aubertine's deciding vote to allow drug dealers, felons and petty thives conceal their criminal pasts when applying to become school teachers, bus drivers, security guards, home health aides and child care workers is drawing ire of Republicans and lawmen who say the new law threatens children and the elderly.
They're calling for a repeal of Aubertine's "felon shield law."
