This is our baby Naydia. Born after my water was broke for 1 month at 23 weeks gestation weighing 1lb and 2 oz. She had a level 4 brain bleed on her right side. This is for parents that are looking for hope with prematures babies in NICU's ... God Bless

  • My baby was also born at 23 weeks, and after talking to doctors, we had actually decided that if our baby had a level 3 or 4 brainbleed that we would disconnect life support. Thankfully, she never had a brainbleed. I can't imagine if we had gone down that path and then I had seen this video. Way to stick to your guns! She's adorable!

  • @gorays47 Thanks and I am glad your baby did not have a brain bleed! Almost all micro preemies do so that is amazing! I hope you and your lil one are doing well and you are very blessed :)

  • Beautiful! I watched the whole thing and cried the whole time. Happy tears for you and your beautiful little girl! I came across your link you posted on the DFW March for Babies page. My son was born 25w1d. Just when I think my sons journey was crazy I see stories like Naydia's. I giggled as I saw your take home "bag" with the pulse ox. We had the same exact one! Your story is amazing! You should share it as much as possible!! My son is now a crazy wild boy at 3 years 3 months old!!

  • @SuperCandysWorld thanks for sharing your experience, It's so inspiring to hear a story with a happy ending! Hope your child will remain happy and healthy.

I also wanted to ask anyone for some help. I'm a student from England and am writing a dissertation about babies born at 23 weeks. I was hoping to gather stories from parents about their child's experiences from birth to now. I understand that this information is very personal but will apreciate any help! Thanks and Feel free to inbox me

  • Thanks for sharing. We too are blessed with a surviving micropreemie born 24/2 at 1.5 lbs who is now a healthy 3.5 year old. Will never forget those days him on a osolating vent at 95%+ oxygen or infections turning him white and motionless. Getting that talk that starts with "your baby is very sick" . It meant a lot back then to hear and watch happy endings.

  • I can imagine your roller coaster of emotions on all those months at the NICU... and after.

I have too a preemie baby girl... now she is 4 y/o and she is doing great !!

God bless our little girls always !

  • O I love this with all my heart

  • candace - so beautiful! God bless you and your child. Many times over.
