As a nation we should still be manufacturing locomotives and rolling stock and exporting to the rest of the world,so much changes so quickly its a shame.

amazing, as close to time travel as you can get, this is so precious and brings a tear to the eye, why cant it be like this any more, sod hs2 bring back these this is what we love quality characterfull comfy locos and carriages that are so nice you can fall in love with them, this is real railways. ah i miss these days so so so much

I used to travel this service regularly, from Manchester Vic to Preston on my way home each weekend .... great memories , thanks for the video :)

Remember the day in1987 when instead of 45's there were a rake of 150's type 2's operating the Holyhead and llandudno routes.
Never the same again.
Plus the year before they took the 33's off the Cardiff holyhead route.
