Baltimore Bays U11 Stars Championship winning Pk shootout at Disney Junior Showcase

The championship game would prove to be a culmination of all the tension and excitement that the team had experienced so far. Jumping out on an early lead, the Concorde Fire Central Black(GA) evened it up and the first half ended 1-1. The second half was a truly a showcase of two very talented teams. Spectators, many who came to watch, were quite impressed with the skill level often commenting that these couldn't be 11 year olds. At the end of regulation it was still 1-1. During the second overtime period the Stars outshot Concorde 8-2 but could not find the net. After two 5 minute overtime periods, still no score it was time for PK's. Having been in a similar situation, not that long ago, the Baltimore Bays 99 Stars proved they can win under pressure. The Stars shot and saved when it really counted, and claimed victory on Victory Way and the chance for a Champion's photo with Mickey Mouse in the Disney-style ceremony only Mickey can host.
