An original song I wrote around around 2004, and recently re-wrote in a different key. Some of the guitar work is still being written, so this is a work in progress. Specifically the solo/breakdown at about 3:30 is incomplete and slams back into the chorus - check it out anyways. Video, Music & Lyrics © Copyright 2009, Brian Cantin.
Will the music carry me to the salvation that I seek?
Can a smiling memory carry all through my dark days?
Will I ever open up, and find the inner me?
Will this pain ever go away, so I can finally sleep?
My head is pounding
The sound's rebounding
Afraid of dying
Afraid of living no more
I just can't sleep at night, when I don't feel alright
I still can't sleep at night, when we don't feel so tight
Give me love don't bury me, in the dirt six feet deep
For the havoc I have wreaked, it's forgiveness that I seek
Have you ever looked away, has your heart ever gone astray?
Back to me I hope it comes, we've come to far to come undone
My head is pounding
The sound's rebounding
Afraid of dying
Afraid of living no more
I just can't sleep at night, when I don't feel alright
I still can't sleep at night, when we don't feel so tight
