I usually was working at this mine at the time of day that it happened. I was supposed to be in there at that time, but after seeing the deteriorating conditions, I knew a couple months before it happened that it was coming, so I quit before I lost my life.. I worked in engineering there and by quitting, the other engineer I worked with was training my replacement at another company mine in Price so he wasn't in there either because of me quitting.

My home town is Elmo and this tragedy really hit our family hard a whole bunch of my cousins where on shift when the collapse happened and my cousin Bodee Allred is taking this whole thing really hard and blames himeself for it. and my cousins got out then tried to get everybody out and actually went back it to get people but there were those who didn't get out and those people will forever be missed. thanks for doing this and it brought tears to mine too.

As a person who knew the people in the tradgedy and whose home town IS Huntington..I really appreciate you doing this. It did bring tears to my eyes to remember...however, Bob Murray has NO place among the men who died because of his mistakes and lies
