"Where's the Warming?" Global warming alarmists claim that increasing CO2 levels mean higher global temperatures. But for the last five years or more, temperatures have been stable even though CO2 has continued to go up. By some accounts, temperatures have even dropped a bit. So where's the warming? @vmgqie CO2 makes up 390 ppm (0.039%) of the atmosphere, how can such a small amount be important? Saying that CO2 is "only a trace gas" is like saying that arsenic is "only" a trace water contaminant. Small amounts of very active substances can cause large effects. Huber and Knutti (2011) published a paper in Nature Geoscience, Anthropogenic and natural warming inferred from changes in Earth’s energy balance, explaining the effect of anthropogenic CO2, please read it.
