the horses at these sales do not come from amish farms they come from many english farms from pa md nj these are horses that are in good condition that the owners breed or no longer want or have room for and as many amish friends i have i have yet to see a animal in poor shape. this video is of a mud sale a fund raiser that many fire co in lancaster pa hold saling all kinds of items

Two of the lesson horses at my riding stables were rescued from the Amish horse acctions. Both were in horble condition when we got them and the rescue almost lost one of them to a slaughter house but outbid them. The worst one was Buster who had all four legs swollen. Now he always takes home first place in the shows with the little kids and his show name is Heavon Can Wait

This is at the gordanville PA fire companys annual auction. Its held the 2nd week of march each year..Huge auction with 15-20 auctioneers selling at a time...worth the drive
