  • and did you pay the expensive fares to travel on the train or access the stations? Or, and i dont mean this to sound nasty, did someone else pay it for you? The point we were making is that you younger enthusiasts who only have a part time paper round or pocket money should not be expected to pay a small fortune for a hobby that is dying out!

  • @alrispoli

Just out of curiosity (I am an armchair train enthusiast so I know nothing) when you say 'a hobby dying out' what do you mean exactly.

I thought the hobby either died out 40 years ago or wouldn't die out at all.

Anyway I like your channel... :)

  • @Doomsday2060 Glad you like the channel. The hobby is dying out because railtours/charters such as this one are so expensive and also because on a lot of stations you are treated as a criminal for taking an interest in railway activities!

Ahh I see what you mean now - they are quite expensive those railtours are...

    Fair play, nice videos

  • well i throw my few pence into this and say that im 20 and part of the reason im not that active in railway circles is that i simply cant afford big trips for filming and galas etc at least not a couple times a week like some people

  • what station was that? finchley road?

  • same here, there is nothing wrong with that, is there?

  • Baker st

  • Im 12, Im a younger generation enthusiast

  • Great Video, 5 Stars! I was very disapointed the TfL wre charging £1 to vist there stations, whether this was to try and discourage enthusiasts or just taking advantage of the special train to make money I dont know, but when we need to do all we can to get the younger generation interested in railways, how are thing like this going to help? It seems to me the London Transport know the price of everything and the vale of nothing! London Transport should be ashamed of them selfs for doing this!
