I'm not sure about that. If you look at the fact that Ron had nothing to lose because it was both his last run for presidency & last term congress then you realize that he had nothing to lose in the political game. Thus, he spoke his mind to the fullest. Rand knows he has to stay in the game to make a difference. So maybe Rand is just playing the political game for now until things are more stacked in his favor. I could be wrong though.
