Bravo. Well done. I love the simple, almost unstructured form of this poem. Belies my impression that it represents an extended metaphor for the complexity of human spirit/soul to nurture and protect us as we journey and battle through life. Perfect foil for the deeper, inherently human nature of soul, a fragile feathered thing that with perseverence can keep us warm against the storm. Excellent visual and auditory echoes of that theme. I hope you received a good grade.
