One Week Later;
I could feel sweat fall down my face. I was so nervous. Miley was in serious danger. They called me saying she might die, Ive never ran so fast in my life. I haven't told anyone Miley might die, I just brought Kade with me. "Mommy okay daddy. Mommy make you smile." I looked at Kade staring at me with sweet chocolate eyes. I pulled her into a heart warming hug and whispered. "Daddy loves you forever. Okay?" She nodded and planted a huge kiss on my left cheek. I smiled slightly and kissed her nose. "Mr. Jonas?" I immediately stood up with Kade in my arms. I walked quickly over to the doctor. "Yes doctor? Is Miley okay?" He took his glasses off with a shaky hand. "I'm so sorry Mr. Jonas. We tried everything we could try.." I could feel my heart break with every word he said. "No. No. No.." I continue to blab on. "We tried CPR, we tried to stitch the wound up, but the cut was so deep.. she bled to death.." I shook my head to stop falling tears. "No. No.." I continued to say. "Your wife has passed on, Mr. Jonas. I'm so sorry for your loss. I'll give you some time." He walked down the grueling halls. "Daddy?" I was hearing Kade trying to get me out of my trance. Shock and loss was written all over my face. "Daddy? Where is mommy?" I looked down at Kade and I felt the sobs run down my face and I held Kade close to my heart. "Mommy's in heaven. She's with Uncle Kevy." Kade looked up at me with little tears running down her pale face. "Mommy's dead?" I couldn't respond to her. My words were lost. Only because she was gone..

My body jolted upright in my bed. I placed a hand over my thumping heart. "Just a bad dream. Just a bad dream.." I kept convincing myself. Once my heart calmed down. I wiped sweat from my forehead with the back of my hand. "Its okay. I'm okay." I kept saying over and over. BEEP. BEEP. BEEP. I reached over and shut the alarm clock off. What was the point of one when I always woke up seconds before it would start? I placed my hand on the other side of the bed expecting to feel Miley on the other side. Nothing. I sighed and walked into the bathroom. I took a quick shower and clothed myself quickly when I heard the phone start to ring. I walked quickly to the phone and pressed the phone to my ear. "Hello?" "Hello? Mr. Jonas? Husband of Miley Jonas?" I had my attention at the phone immediately. "Yes, thats me. Whats wrong with Miley?" He sighed. "I think you should come quickly. Miley is in no danger, but we have discovered something new." "Alright. I'll be there soon. Thank you." I quickly hung up and called my mom. She agreed to watch Kade while I was gone. In five minutes I was climbing out of my mustang. I walked quickly into the hospital. I took the elevator to the third floor where they were keeping Miley. I rushed to the secretary. "Excuse me? May I see Miley Jonas?" She looked at her charts and nodded. "Thank you." I said quickly. I walked slowly into Miley's room and found the doctor looking at her charts. "Excuse me? Doctor. Whats wrong with Miley?" He looked up at me and motioned for me to come closer. "Mr. Jonas. Last night a nurse walked in to check on Ms. Jonas. She seemed okay, until the nurse heard something different. She heard another heartbeat." I looked at the doctor oddly. "Another heartbeat? Whats that suppose to mean?" He sighed. "It means that Miley is four months pregnant." I gasped. "Pregnant? Is the baby in any harm?" He shook his head. "We checked. He is in no danger whatsoever. Close though, with Miley being shot." It took a couple of seconds for all of this to register in my mind. "He? She's carrying a baby boy?" He nodded with a slight smile. "Yes. I'm sorry for spoiling anything. Did she know?" I shook my head. I couldn't say a word. I was in complete and total shock. "I'll give you two time." He swiftly left the room for me and Miley. I sat on the edge of the bed and took Miley's cold soft hand in mine. I intertwined our fingers together. "I don't know if I should be happy or sad. You're pregnant. Well that explains the morning sickness." I got no response like always. I sighed. "At least when you wake up well raise our little boy... if you wake up.." I gently placed my hand on her small stomach. You could see a very small baby bump start on her stomach. I felt a tiny kick on my palm. I smiled and I almost cried. "Please wake up, Smiley. Please. I love you too much to see you.." I couldn't even finish. I bent over her lifeless body and pressed my warm lips to her cold lips..
