(These Violent Delights) Vanessa

Vanessa is a practitioner of the black arts. She was not always evil, however.
History:
Vanessa never knew her father. Her mother remarried just after he died, before Vanessa's fifth birthday. Before long, her parents found themselves impoverished, and unable to pay their debts. Her step-father was the one who originally proposed to sell her to a local "Orphanage." The fates of the children there were undisclosed, but with no choice, they gave up their only daughter.
Vanessa found favor with the headmistress, and was made to do various chores and labors. It was a much easier fate than that endured by other children. Eventually, a woman named Maria comes to this place, and makes an immediate connection to Vanessa. She offers the headmistress a hefty sum of money, and is able to take Vanessa from there.
She is a powerful sorceress, but kind and gentle. She raises Vanessa as her own child. Vanessa, though eager to learn, has no natural talent in magic... or so she thinks. She struggles with her lessons until, one day; she decides to cast a spell of destruction. She watches as a little flower withers and dies, and thus begins her descent into darkness.
Maria dies soon after. With no one to guide her in her powers, Vanessa slips slowly into madness. She finds comfort in the black arts, and a locket hidden in Maria's belongings. The locket, when opened, releases many demons. Vanessa wears the locket, shaped like a shell, which gives her control over the demons. Their influence on her changes her. She becomes bitter and selfish. She cares not for the devastation caused by her actions, and only wishes to meet her desires.
Snow White, a village girl, was Vanessa's first, but not last, victim. She had been speaking poorly of Vanessa, calling her wicked and cruel, and half the sorceress Maria was. She died a horrendous death in the forest... her killer was never found, but peasants began to avoid the woods, and the witch who haunted them.
Personality:
Vanessa is psychotic and highly dangerous. Underestimating her could be one's last mistake. She wields her powers wantonly, and indiscreetly. When she desires, she can appear sweet and kind. However, she is quick to anger, and devoid of human compassion. Maria's loss had a deep impact on her, and that is part of the reason why she became what she did. She is also extremely selfish, and narcissistic.
Vanessa secretly does not wish to channel spirits. She finds the whole process physically draining. In truth, she would much rather have the spirits' powers herself, but she has not yet discovered a spell that would enable her to absorb their powers. Her locket is the only thing keeping the spirits from turning on her.

Holy crud! That part with the locket opening might as well have been a screamer! I'm thankful I didn't have my headphones on XD This is a great video, though, awesome job!

BTW, I love the eerie song in the first part. I recognized it from Silent Hill: Shattered Memories. Yay!
