The BARE cajon - what makes that "BARE Cajon Sound"

The "Bare" Cajon really is the next generation of cajons -- this video gives you a little bit of an insight into what makes it the next generation BUT regardless how many videos I put up here (I wouldn't give away all the tricks anyway), you will only fully understand when you have sat on and played it -- comments frequently follow along the lines of -- OMG and F*#*@* AMAZING or just WOW. I just brought one of these Cajons the other day and when I unwrapped it and started playing I was tottally blown away. I was amazed at how fulling it was and how I could get such an amazingly warm sound from such a simple looking instrument. Over the last 2 days I have been playing on in frequently and I'm now finding more and more variations of sounds and techniqes with each day. I play Guitar, Bass, Drums, and sing but this is my new favourite instrument. It's AWESOME!!

I've just received my Bare Cajon -- a big bass sound, and I prefer the snare over the string setup for the top end. The construction is top notch with a beautiful gloss-black paint job over the top, sides and bottom, which is surprisingly non-slip. It has a much bigger bass than the couple of name-brand cajons I've tried, and is well-priced. Cheers, Murray!
