Not the best production ever - but this was a fascinating time for music, movies and Broadway for sure and even the sub par offerings were compelling.

Bert Wheeler was amazing. To my mind he and Woolsey were the funniest comic pairing in movies. Rio Rita is on the top of my must-have list.

Nice 1920's look but the chorus girls could've used a couple of extra rehearsals. The footwork, body language and facial expressions are sloppy.

I Love, Love Love him!
So cute!!

Interesting to compare Gwen Verdon's "If They Could See Me Now" after seeing Bert's number, it helps you understand his comment about her: "There's one of the greatest women God let live."

Bert is so adorable!

A very interesting past, I believe that at this time it was the American dream so looked for, a greeting

if he had a more masculine voice, i think it would of worked much better, in my opinion.

It would be geat to see the fully restored movie Rio Rita. I have seen it years ago but not with the 2 color technicolor restoration sequences. RKO had the best sound fidelity for thie time even better than Fox's Movietone sound on film process. I think that RCA took a hint from DeForest/Farnsworth
and their Orthocon Ray process.
Bert Wheeler was a great actor, singer and tap dancer as shows on this clip and in Rio Rita. Bert Wheeler with his partner, Robert Woolsey are my favorite movie comedians. I love all their films.
