Sure, let's leave a gun in every classroom. Teacher goes out the class, oops I left my gun on the desk. One of the kids gets it - Boom! It's the sickest most rediculous idea I ever heard. The worrying thing is that you actually believe this is a solution. If you are being ironic then I can understand - but I don't think you are. The problem is you never had proper gun control... Come to the UK and you'll see it working in practice - The proof is there for you to see.

Love to you always Jackie! A great man.

zinc pls drop the fantasy land using guns to defeat bombs scenario. Most violent criminals use guns. fact. Most massacres occur in gun free zones. fact. Good people w/guns are better protected than w/o. fact. Relying on yourself for selfdefense increases your chance of survival. fact. why be such a wimpering bleeding heart defeatist b/c the world isnt your socialist utopia. Bad people are all over, why not help make this country better 1 good gun owner at a time

ugotpimp: yawn. ok if everyone has a gun and people don't shoot each other, do you think your problems will go away? Apart from the fact that there is certainly no guarentee that having everyone carry a gun will stop massacres. What use is a gun against a bomb? Criminals adapt like terrorists. They do what ever it takes to get what they want. Its pretty obvious in both major school shootings that the murderers had decided before hand that they would probably die.

zinc do you live in fantasy socialist utopialand? Good people being armed doesnt stop all random violence but it would stop massacres. And yes, you would be safer with every law abiding citizen having a gun as opposed to now when just criminals have them in gun free zones.
also, in a pro-carry area, people naturally behave w/ more civility, b/c #1 lawful people tend to avoid provoking violence & #2 they must assume the other people are armed too.
Its a wonderful system.

ZincShackles: No apology necessary. I was referring to your original comment that if people had guns you wouldn't be able to argue with them. I just meant that you could still argue with a person with a gun, I just imagined that it would be more of a polite disagreement is all. I think if you really study history closely you might change your mind on the gun issue. Perhaps not, but it's pretty interesting reading none the less.

VoteLib3rty: Argument...I'm just voicing my opinion.
More polite.... like there aren't far worse comments out there.
This is Utube. Telling someone to be more polite will most likely get a rude comment back. Go figure.
I'm sorry if this comment offends you./.?
-
ZincShackles: I am a proponent of everyone having guns. You could certainly still have an argument with anyone you wanted. I would imagine, you just might be a little more polite while you did it.

Criminals and alike will always try to get one up on the situation. If someone wants to kill students in a classroom & all the students have guns, then he's going to sneek a bomb in, instead of a having a shoot out, or use a scoped rifle...
The killer, still wants to kill, the situation has just changed with more guns. Someone who can kill 30+ people, is no idiot. There is an underlying problem & having more guns won't solve it.
