  • Many thanks for your reply. I really want to learn how to do this. I got a paint effect tutorial from DT, but it is a 3 discs tutorial and I really want to learn how to do something like that quickly without going thru the entire 3 discs, because I need to incorporate something like this in an urgent project. Do you think you can give me and tips or advice of the topic I should focus on learning?

    Many thanks :)

  • @franklin20uk I just followed this tutorial (search for "Flowers inside Maya" in youtube). It will show you how to basically make the flowers grow. I just added the grass, the dried grass beneath it, the rain, and the spotlight. For the grass, you can edit the turbulence to make them sway. You will know how to do that with the tutorial.

  • That looks awesome, whats the rendering time for this test?

  • @franklin20uk This rendered quite fast actually. Around 15mins for 600 frames.

  • Could you actually throw us any tips on how to make such a realistic rendering? It's actually close to film quality which is what I am very interested in. Is it mental ray? Any... settings? Thanks a bunch! :)
