It is funny, until I saw usframe's video regarding the Poughkeepsie Bridge over the Hudson River, I still thought our Walnut Street Bridge was the longest in the world. But that is what the internet is for aye? Educating the masses :)

  • Thanks for the tour. I like history too. We also have a lot of history here in Cincinnati. WOW, the Delta Queen, a true sternwheeler.

  • @floridafyme Thanks for watching!

  • Ok, ok, clearly I'm going to have to visit my niece at Belmont and take a tour around the state while I'm there. These videos are really great.

  • @scooter17568 Belmont is a very nice town. My father is from Wartrace.

  • @ArtisanTony Ooops...didn't know there was a Belmont, TN. Shoulda been clearer...Belmont U. in Nashville up the road. My mom attended there, too, way back when it was Ward-Belmont.

  • @scooter17568 Oh, there is a small area/town near Manchester named Belmont. It is probably named after the same person the college is :)

  • when I was a child, it was light bill here, too. Most likely for many of the older folk, light was all they got out of electric power. I would really enjoy walking on the planked surface. Any of the history relating portions we had on video was wrecked by winds. They had really nice placards along the way telling the story of the bridges thru the last 100 yrs or so. Thanks gentlemen!

  • @edro20 He mainly asked about the area we were in because it is meant to launch canoes and kayaks and they may not want people fishing there. It is really a matter of safety. I would not want to put my canoe in an area where there are a not of hooks and other fishing equipment are lost. I did not do a good job explaining the launch area. Thanks!

  • the T & A tour was great. Thanks guys.

  • @BackwoodsUncleBub haha, at one point in the video you can hear Alex making the sound the tires make as they go across :)
