Sculpting in SketchUp is possible with the native tool set inside the program. Only those built-in tools where used to grow this tree.

Modeling is done using a Logitech mouse with 8-buttons of assignable keyboard shortcuts and 3D navigator from 3Dconnexion, which makes the precess more pleasant.

More help and tutorials like this are available at the SketchUp Sage: http://sites.google.com/site/sketchupsage - specifically, the Tweaking Tool Tips page.

  • really nice but i dont get what the sandbox tool is (im german and i havent found it)

    which symbol?

  • @Da5htElement first enable the Sandbox extension - go to Window > Preferences > Extensions and check the box for Sandbox . To access those tools load the Sandbox toolbar via View > Toolbars OR go to Sandbox sub-menus in the Tools and Draw menus OR create keyboard shortcuts to the individual Sandbox tools via Window > Preferences > Shortcuts.

  • hat did you do in 0:07 i can't move the lines as you did!

  • @allendanes9, the initial circle entity needs to be destroyed to move individual segments. Select the circle > r-click and select Explode. If individual segments don't want to move in the direction you want, it can the adjoining faces are not triangulated. In that case, de-select everything and autofold the segment. Do that by selecting the Move tool + Alt (PC) (keyboard modifier). Hover over a segment end and press and drag the end to a new position. Autofolding will triangulate faces.
